As of now there is no current Fight Club Rush featherweight title, but one fighter who is clearly on the road to realising a strap is undoubtedly Baysangur Makaev (5-1) who has cut a swathe through the ranks and is now set to battle fierce Italian Alessandro Capone (6-5) at FCR 22 on November 30th!
Makaev began his MMA journey at the world-renowned Allstars Training Center, sharpening his tools alongside the likes of Khamzat Chimaev and Bilal Tipsaev. Though he began his career as somewhat of a wrestler, Makaev's striking has been astounding as of his last few bouts.
Though he came up short in his pro debut against Samuel Bark, Makaev is undefeated since and has lined up five straight wins - four inside FCR. With impressive finishes over Erik Wahrolén and Waltteri Hakkinen, he is intent on battling for the inaugural FCR featherweight title.
Capone has a rocky start to his pro MMA career, losing three out of his five first fights but now he has claimed victory in all but one of his last four fights.
With an exciting fighting style and four finishes - all but one in the first round - Capone isn't coming all the way to Sweden just to play.
While Makaev has secured his spot atop the FCR featherweight ranks, he must be mindful to not lose it to the dangerous Italian Capone.
