Baysangur Makaev vs Levan Kirtadze for the featherweight title to serve as main event in Malmö

Fight Club Rush will debut in the Southern Swedish city of Malmö on May 24th and the main event will see a new champion crowned! Perennial contender Baysangur Makaev (6-1) will face Georgian bruiser Levan "Piranha" Kirtadze (13-4) for the vacant FCR featherweight title!

FCR 24 will take place at Baltiska Hallen in Malmö on Saturday May 24th and is expected to bring a slew of Southern fans to the arena.

Makaev got into MMA following in the footsteps of current UFC title contender Khamzat Chimaev. With familial ties to judo and wrestling Makaev would rebound from a tough pro debut loss with a whopping six straight wins - five secured in FCR!

At FCR 14 Makaev TKO'd Pawel Szumlas in the first round to secure his first pro win, and he has since continued to cut through increasingly more difficult opposition. In his last two appearances, Makaev handed undefeated Finnish prospect Waltteri Hakkinen his first defeat, by way of vicious TKO, and then soundly defeated Italian slugger Alessandro Capone by decision.

Kirtadze is a top Georgian fighter who has fought some of the toughest prospects in Europe. Following victories over the likes of Kevin Cordero and Khamad Gunaev Kirtadze was pitted against returning FCR star Tobias Harila in the main event at FCR 20 last summer. The bout turned into a brutal, blood and guts battle that saw the canvas get stained with blood. After three hard-fought and close rounds, Harila was awarded a majority decision.

Since then Kirtadze has rebounded with a TKO victory over Kamil Lebkowski in December of last year.

Makaev vs Kirtadze is one of the best European featherweight clashes one could make and the fact that FCR gold is on the line only makes that bout even better.
