Since the very first Fight Club Rush event bouts between Swedish and Finnish prospects and top talents has become something to expect from Northern Europe's premiere MMA promotion. Now Brayan Aspegren (2-0) and Enes Kollari (0-1) are set to do battle in yet another Nordic derby!
Aspegren has been a successful representative of the Finnish National MMA as well as the 2020 Finnish MMA Champion at light heavyweight in a win over Kirill Andreev - a victory that has ages remarkably well as Andreev currently holds a 6-2 pro record.
Aspegren made his pro debut in May of 2023, completely dominating Georgian Davit Gujejiani, securing a second round submission win.
Following that entrance to the Nordic pro leagues Aspegren was booked to face Swedish fan favourite and knockout artist Ebrima Faal at FCR 18. The fight was hectic and thrilling, with Aspegren picking up a first round TKO win.
Kollari has been one of MMA Sweden's best kept secrets for many years, but now he is starting to get the recognition he deserves.
The Gothenburg fighter holds an amateur submission win over world silver medalist Robin Enontekiö and faced off against current world champion and hot prospect Rafael Kveldstad at FCR 13 in the summer of 2022. Kollari fought brilliantly, avoiding submissions and being grounded, landing heavy flurries on the feet, getting a decision win after three full rounds.
In October of last year Kollari made his pro debut against two-time Swedish champ Danijel Grbic. They fought tooth and nail in what was unquestionably one of the best Swedish MMA fights of 2023 and while Kollari lost a decision he won the hearts of the fans.
While FCR 19 already has a slew of great match ups, Aspegren vs Kollari could very well steal the show.
