Fight Club Rush 13 looks to be the Swedish MMA event in regards to high-octane rematches. Not only will Jonny Touma and Zoran Milic meet once again, this time for the flyweight title. Rivals Bilal Tipsaev and Glenn McVeigh are slated for a second cage encounter.
On top of all that amateur rivals Nabbe Malki (0-0) and Taylan Isik (0-0) will collide in a rematch at FCR 13 on August 27th! The bout will serve as both fighters pro debuts as the popular Malki makes his much anticipated departure from amateur competition. They fought in september of 2018 in a bout with a heated buildup in which Malki won a split decision.
Malki brings a slew of passionate fans with him every time he fights and broke through as one of the most popular amateur fighters at the time. Between 2017-2019 Malki defeated many well-known fighters and FCR alumni such as Addis Salejvic and Christian Stigenberg.
In his most recent and now final amateur fight Malki faced Ahouzi Kouamé for an amateur title. It was a hard fought battle that went all three rounds, but Malki emerged victorious via split decision.
Isik is a fearless fighter from the famed Västerås Fight Club, known for stepping up to any challenge. He has gone the distance with the likes of Robin Larsson and Vincent Pettersson in FCR bouts. Isik also came close to winning an amateur title against Oscar Granh after landing a late, heavy strike that wobbled his opponent.
Tensions will be high at FCR 13 but luckily these rivalries will be settled inside the FCR cage.
