During the past few years Fight Club Rush has grown exponentially and one of the fighters that quickly became the face of the promotion was explosive bantamweight Felipe Lima.
Now, however, FCR officials have decided to strip Lima of the title due to inactivity as he is now having issues cutting down to championship weight.
Relations between Lima and FCR are still amicable, however the division must be allowed to move on as bantamweight is one of the hottest and most stacked divisions in Sweden.
Lima bulldozed Swedish veteran Fernando Flores over the course of three rounds to earn a shot at the vacant bantamweight title. At FCR 10 Lima faced experienced Ukrainian veteran Evgeny Odnorog in what would be a short affair. Early into the first round Lima would land a flying knee to the body of his opponent, which ended the fight and established Lima as the first ever FCR champion.
The FCR bantamweight title wont be vacant for long, though. A vacant title bout between two of Swedens most highly touted bantamweights is expected to go down at FCR 13 on August 27th. News regarding the two men duking it out to claim FCR gold will be released soon.
