Expectations are high heading into Fight Club Rush 20 and the promotion plans on exceeding those expectations at every possible turn. That is why FCR can now proudly present a women's flyweight bout as Finnish veteran Maiju "Mountain Momma" Suotama (8-7) will take on debuting prospect Millie Eriksson (0-0)!
FCR 20 takes place at ABB Arena in Västerås on June first and will see the biggest and most stacked fight card to date including the likes of Tobias Harila, Jonny Touma, Alexander Lööf and Andreas Gustafsson to name just a few.
Suotama has been competing professionally since 2009 and as a true pioneer "Mountain Momma" has fought some of the best in women's MMA. With an 87% finishing rate Suotama has defeated Norwegian veteran Celine Haga and Bellator fighter Katarzyna Sadura amongst others.
Aside from that Suotama has also competed in Strikeforce and has fought the likes former UFC champion Miesha Tate, The Ultimate Fighter contestant Aisling Daly and UFC fighters Lucie Pudilova and Shanna Young.
Västerås Fight Club's Eriksson submitted Jennie Rääf at FCR 3 in the summer of 2018 but experienced mixed results early on in her amateur career.
Eriksson broke out in a big way during the 2021 IMMAF World Cup in Prague where she captured the gold medal. She later went on to win silver in the 2023 IMMAF World Championships, which included a TKO win over former world champ Sani Brännfors. Eriksson has also defeated former world champion Nikolija Milosevic and is now ready for the move to pro following a storied amateur career.
This fight is just one of many banger matchups scheduled for what will surely be the biggest Nordic MMA event of the year!
