Fight Club Rush 12 goes down on May seventh in Västerås, Sweden and will see the return of one of the most exciting fighters in Sweden.
FCR officials recently announced a flyweight bout pitting local favourite Zoran Milic (2-1) against Gerard Burns (1-0) - a rising prospect out of Northern Ireland.
Milic has successfully represented the Swedish national team in at he IMMAF championships and is known for his fast-paced, fan-friendly style.
The Swede made his professional debut at FCR 8 against experienced grappler Hannan Housmand. Milic survived an early armbar attempt that would have snapped the limb off of a lesser fighter - yet he persevered. In the second round he utilised heavy elbows on the ground to earn a TKO victory in is debut.
After that Milic faced former Swedish amateur MMA champion Jonny Touma in the co-main event at FCR 9. The back-and-forth fight enchanted fans all around the world as these top-notch fighters battled it out on a razors edge. In the end Touma would win a split decision - however the fans were the biggest winners as the bout won "Fight of the Year" award from most Swedish MMA outlets.
Milic most recently took on the dangerous and experienced short-notice replacement Anton Larsson at FCR 11. Despite some early adversity Milic went on to get his hand raised via second round knockout, once again giving the fans the excitement they come to expect.
While not having represented Team Ireland in the IMMAFs Burns still holds a great deal of experience on the merited and well-respected Irish amateur MMA scene. He has competed successfully for solid promotions and made his pro debut in March of this year, defeating Robbie Brown via unanimous decision.
