Safi Husseini to welcome rising prospect Fadi Farag to FCR in hectic match up!

Updated: Apr 16, 2024

After a successful run in Finland's largest MMA promotion Västerås Fight Club's own Safi Husseini (3-2) returns to home soil to take on Stockholm's Fadi Farag (1-0) at Fight Club Rush 20 on June first.

Husseini is a 2021 Swedish Wrestling Champion and set a record in his pro MMA debut for fastest finish in FCR history having finished Jakob Valegren in just ten seconds at FCR 11 in February of 2022.

After that dream start to his pro career Husseini suffered to tough setbacks against some of the toughest competition possible in the form of losses to Amir Malekpour and Jonny Touma.

Since then Husseini has had two fights in Finland's CAGE MMA, defeating the tough veteran Hama Dara and bulldozing Finnish Amateur MMA and Wrestling Champion Karvann Ahmadi in April of last year. Husseini has also had a string of fights that have fallen through following his big wins.

While relatively new to the MMA scene Farag impressed with amateur wins over Jarl Krogh-Lund and Linus Lagelius.

In February this year Farag made his pro debut against Ahmed Elnady in a barn burner of a fight. Farag would go on to win via second round submission.

Both Husseini and Farag never back down and have a "Do or Die" attitude that will surely make this 59 kilogram catchweight bout an under the radar fight to keep an eye on.
